-
- This small intermediate update to Magnum Opus is being released in response
- to the feedback from the people on the dopus5 mailing list. It will NOT be
- made available on Aminet. This archive contains three new and two updated
- filetypes plus another icon.
-
- I would to take this opportunity like to thank everyone for the support and
- feedback I've been getting about Magnum Opus and the Magnum Opus Web-site,
- it is greatly appreciated.
-
- If you have any ideas or suggestions for anything you would like to see
- included, changed or updated please email me at the above address. Don't
- forget to check the web-site every once in a while as it is constantly
- being updated.
-
- Installation.
- Just copy the files to their corresponding directories in Opus Magellan.
-
-
- Filetypes/
-
- Ascii text.
-
- Though the double-click still uses PPMore (an oldie but goody) there are
- now two popup menu items "Read" that uses the built-in text reader in
- Dopus5, and Edit which loads the text into C:Ed. These changes have been
- made to work better with other filetypes that inherit the popup menu items
- of this filetype.
-
-
- AmigaWriter, document.
-
- Amigawriter is a new word-processor for the Amiga from H&P. This is
- currently the only program that can load and save these files. A demo
- version can be found on Amiga Format's Christmas 98 issue cover CD
- (AFCD34). The Haage & Partner web site http://www.haage-partner.com also
- has a demo and updates for the full version.
-
-
- DOpus Magellan II, theme.
-
- Currently I'm waiting for the Magellan II upgrade to come from Australia
- (thanks Greg). When I have it I will update this filetype, at the moment
- it's just for recognition.
-
-
- FinalCalc, Spreadsheet.
-
- This filetype had been bugging me for ages as I couldn't find anyone who
- had the program that could provide me with some example files. But thanks
- to the following people on the Dopus5 mailing list here it is.

-
- HTML, text
-
- It seems that some people were having problems with the command line to
- load web pages directly into either IBrowse or Voyager. This filetype has
- two popup menu items to do this, though you may need to change the path in
- the filetype depending on where you have the programs installed. Unlike the
- original filetype double-clicking on a matching filetype will display the
- text for you to read. Two further popup menu items (read & edit) are
- inherited from the "Ascii text" filetype, the functions of which should be
- obvious.
-
- Please Note! If you need to change the path in the "Load into Voyager"
- filetype popup menu. The AmigaDOS CD command above it needs to be changed
- as well to point to the parent directory. The reason this command is there,
- is that without it Voyager's CacheBrowser may not function correctly
- depending on how it is set up.
-
- Icons/
-
- def.html.info
-
- This is for use with the "HTML, text" filetype. You may want to change the
- default tooltype in it to whatever browser you use.
